Your Role

We are looking for a skilled Project Manager to join Submarine Engineering at Saab's business area Kockums. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for one of the complex projects within Submarine Engineering and part of a team of project managers. You will lead the work within your project and be accountable for delivering the project in accordance with agreed expectations and standards. The role includes many interactions with stakeholders such as customers, vendors, and other business areas within Saab. The role includes business travel between our offices in Lund and Karlskrona. Travel abroad may occur but varies depending on our projects. We are primarily looking for a colleague to join us at our new office in Lund.

Main tasks:

• Execute the project in accordance with the Project Directive and Project Plan, ensuring that all project goals and milestones are met.
• Adhere to and adapt Saab's project management processes and standards to ensure project success and compliance.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.

Your Profile

We are looking for a person who enjoys motivating and coaching team members in their daily work and to develop both the team and the project. You have the ability to engage and align people and can effectively manage stakeholders at all levels, both within and outside the company. You have a few years of experience as a project manager, demonstrated leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate and navigate within an organization developing and maintaining advanced products.

Required skills:

• A degree in engineering and proven experience in product development.
• A few years of experience as a project manager.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to collaborate and navigate within an organization developing and maintaining advanced products.
• Understanding of and experience with commercial terms and their impact on projects.
• Proficiency in Project Scope, Time, and Cost Management.
• Strong Project Communication Management skills.
• Competence in Project Risk and Opportunity Management.
• Experience in Project Procurement Management.
• Knowledge of engineering processes, tools, and methods.
• Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English, both verbal and written.

Desired skills:

• University Degree in Engineering
• IPMA certification (Level D)
• Understanding/experience of commercial terms and their aspects on the project
• Understanding/experience of classification and Security management

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance, additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
