Do you want to make a real impact? Here you contribute to creating safety for people and communities. What you do matters.
To the section Contract & Product Management AEW & Ground Support, we are now looking for a strategic and technically knowledgeable product manager who wants to take overall responsibility for the products linked to AEW within Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
In this role, you will have a central position in shaping, developing, and optimizing a product portfolio that is crucial for delivery, availability, and business success. You operate in the intersection of technology, business, and delivery – with clear impact on both profitability and competitiveness.
As a product manager, you have the overarching responsibility for the GSE portfolio linked to AEW. You report to the head of Contract & Product Management AEW & Ground Support, who is also the product owner.
You drive the strategic work for the portfolio and lead by direction rather than line responsibility. You are supported by local product managers who are responsible for smaller product groups within various aircraft systems. Your mission is to ensure that the whole is optimized – technically, commercially, and logistically.
The role involves close collaboration with contract managers, strategic procurement, engineering, and other key functions. You also have an active and important role in tender work and larger campaigns where your ability to combine technical understanding with commercial acumen is decisive.
Your responsibilities also include:
In this position, you are located in one of the locations where the section has operations – Malmslätt, Arboga, or Östersund. Travel between locations may occur.
We are looking for you who have experience in product management, technical business management, or portfolio responsibility in a complex and preferably regulated operation. You thrive in a role where you need to switch between strategic choices and operational follow-up, and where your ability to create structure and direction is decisive.
You have a strong systems perspective and understand how technical decisions impact business, delivery, and long-term sustainability. At the same time, you are business-oriented and comfortable working with calculations, cost drivers, and priorities that strengthen margin and competitiveness.
To succeed in the role, we see that you have:
As a person, you are structured and analytical, but also communicative and pedagogical. You have an ease in creating trust and consensus between different functions and levels in the organization. You are proactive, take ownership of your questions, and drive them forward with clarity and integrity.
Strongly meriting is:
The position requires that you undergo and be approved according to the current regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, it may, in some cases, involve requirements for certain citizenship.
Discover endless possibilities. Embrace challenges, create smart innovations, and upgrade your capabilities. This is a place for clever thinkers, brave pioneers, and everyone in between. Together we achieve the extraordinary, each one bringing their unique perspective. Every contribution counts.
