In this role, you will lead the Business Support function within the Business Unit Digital Battlespace Solutions (DBS), with responsibility for both strategic organizational development and day-to-day operations. The role includes ensuring that the Business Unit (BU) is fit for purpose concerning efficiency, competence, and staffing—from initial offer to final delivery.
A key aspect of the role is maintaining the balance between supporting the organization and safeguarding the autonomy and integrity of a function including quality, improvements, and sustainability. You will play an active part in driving change within the Business Unit, ensuring that the BU focuses on the right priorities and continuously develops its ways of working, tools, and competence to be competitive in a world that changes very fast.
You will have line responsibility for a team located across two sites: Solna/Järfälla and Arboga. The team includes quality assurance throughout the full lifecycle of various projects, improvements, sustainability, sales and operation planning, and administrative support, where all have the same focus and ambition – to actively support BU DBS to deliver world-class products now and in the future.
As Head of Business Support, you will also have full responsibility for all aspects of personnel management within the team. This includes recruitment, development dialogues, competence planning, salary setting, and other areas related to team development and wellbeing.
You will be part of the Business Unit management team and drive topics across the BU. This includes ensuring process compliance, leading improvement initiatives, and overseeing the processes, methods & tools area to ensure that changes are effectively implemented. Collaboration with counterparts in other Saab organizations is also an important part of the role, to ensure knowledge sharing and harmonized ways of working.
Travel will occur in this position.
As the Head of Business Support, you are a proven leader with experience of line management and organizational development in large organizations. You are a trusting, inspiring, and coaching leader who creates a supportive working environment for your employees. You are able to see simplicity in complexity and provide clear direction as well as priorities effectively in the face of challenging situations. You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, where you feel confident in your ability to build relationships, make decisions, influence, and provide advice.
