Your Role

We are looking for a committed and experienced environmental engineer who wants to lead and develop Barracuda's environmental and sustainability work. In this role, you have an overarching responsibility for coordinating and driving the company's work within the environmental and sustainability areas, in close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders. You ensure that the operations comply with applicable legislation and permits and are responsible for contacts with authorities and certification bodies.

As an environmental engineer with us, you lead the work on environmental permits, both when applying for new permits and when making changes to existing ones. You coordinate and participate in inspections and periodic surveys from, for example, the environmental office, County Administrative Board, and DNV, and are responsible for the follow-up of activities related to these. An important part of the role is to be responsible for reporting and follow-up of environmental goals and to support the management team in the formulation of new goals within the environmental and sustainability areas.

You are also responsible for activities in the environmental annual cycle, such as reporting, audits, supervisory visits, and sampling. The role also involves participating in various Saab forums and steering groups where you represent Barracuda. You also participate in risk assessments of chemical work environment risks and environmental risks to ensure a safe and sustainable operation.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who has an academic degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, or a similar field and has about three to five years of experience working in the environmental and sustainability areas. You have good knowledge of environmental legislation and permit processes and have a very good communicative and coordinating ability. You enjoy working both independently and in teams and have a good IT habit.

The position requires that you undergo and pass a security clearance according to the applicable regulations at the time. For positions where Saab has requirements for security clearance, this may, in some cases, involve requirements for certain citizenship.
