In the role of Cyber Security Engineer and operational team leader, you will work to lead our new team within cybersecurity for our underwater products such as autonomous and remotely controlled vehicles, torpedo systems and sensor systems. The team is located in several geographical locations so travel occurs relatively often between these as well as for customer assignments.

As part of our team, you will have a unique opportunity to shape and develop the work methodology within cybersecurity in our operations. You have the chance to engage in different parts of the area based on your interests, deepen your knowledge and work with a wide range of products within underwater systems. You will work closely with colleagues who handle customer requirements and software developers for each product. Contribute to our future development through technology studies and innovation. In addition, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with technically skilled colleagues and specialists, and participate in testing and verification of our products in their natural environments, such as sea trials.

Your Profile

You have post-secondary education with a focus on cybersecurity or IT operations, or you are a software developer who has changed career to the cyber area. You have relevant experience from the industry and preferably within the defense industry. You have experience in team leadership in smaller teams and like to have contact with other teams and groupings. You are prestigious and are good at supporting others. You like to develop and take on new challenges. We are glad to see that you have previous experience in leading roles or a strong will and drive to work as a leader.

We are glad to see that you have experience and interest in working with both Linux and Windows systems. Experience in or knowledge of administering these environments, as well as knowledge of security controls for Linux such as SELinux and Apparmor, and experience or knowledge of scripting programming with bash and log management in Linux environments are something we have a great need for. If you also have experience or knowledge of developing RPM packages, it is a big advantage. Experience or knowledge of administering Windows Server (e.g. Active Directory) and security controls for Windows such as Appguard is also knowledge we request. We also use scripting programming with Powershell and log management in Windows environments, so having those skills is also great.

The area is large but also meritorious:

• Experience or knowledge of system hardening and frameworks (e.g. CIS Controls and DOD STIG)
• Experience or knowledge within requirements work and frameworks (e.g. KSF and NIST)
• Experience or knowledge regarding security controls such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, logging tools and access control, etc.
• Experience or knowledge in network configuration (e.g. Cisco)
• Experience or knowledge of Python programming for automation, for example
• Experience with container technology such as Podman or Docker
• Experience with the Swedish Armed Forces' platforms for cyber security solutions such as SOE or SPLSS

The position requires that you undergo and be approved according to the current regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification placement, it may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.

Since the team is located in two places and our customers are located in many places, travel is included in the job. The location is Karlskoga or Linköping.
