Senior Manager (m/w/d) Service Sustainable Solutions

Job Description

Your main task is the operational and strategic development of the Customer Support team in the Sustainable Solutions Business Unit. After a lot of development work has been done here, the focus will now be on the successful commissioning of the current QGrid large-scale storage facilities in Europe. At the same time, you will realize yourself in the further development of our service competencies, which will drive new approaches for RRPS together with our customers.

This role combines personal growth and creative freedom within a rapidly growing business area. The team of currently around 15 employees will support you wholeheartedly. We are therefore looking for an inspired, committed manager for this role who, in addition to their professional qualifications, also enjoys managing and developing staff.

Tasks – What to expect from us:

• Management of a team which is spread over several locations in Germany, with a focus on Berlin and Friedrichshafen. Continuous expansion and further development of the team according to business development and market requirements
• Advising and supporting customers (distributors, OEMs and operators) with regard to any service requirements and product issues in Germany and abroad
  • Providing technical support for troubleshooting and fault rectification in the field
  • Deciding on and supporting warranty and goodwill cases for systems in the field
  • Managing and monitoring customer service assignments & leading service technicians
• Establishing and expanding service execution excellence (sustainable service organization, processes, skills and collaboration model) in EMEA as well as initializing, transferring and supporting the development at other locations globally
• Know-how transfer to the local RRPS Sales & Service Centers to ensure service excellence on site
• Support for service sales, involvement in the technical preparation and implementation of LTSAs (long-term service agreements)
• Definition and introduction of service standards and cooperation models within the Sustainable BU and with the other BUs
• Supporting the implementation and anchoring of the Qgrid service concept

Qualifications – Who we are looking for:

• Completed studies in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, mechatronics or comparable technical training, e.g. technician/master craftsman
• Experience in customer care, service and at least one other specialist area
• Agile and cooperative leadership and development of employees
• Strategic and visionary thinking
• Strong decision-making and implementation skills
• Negotiating skills and assertiveness
• Professional demeanor towards customers
• Communication skills, even in difficult situations
• Very good written and spoken English, other foreign languages an advantage
• Flexibility and willingness to travel (50%)
