Sales Director Position at ROCKWOOL Benelux

The construction market is undergoing rapid transformation driven by sustainability demands, changing regulations, and new customer needs. Our recently introduced "Next" products combine a low ecological footprint in production with a high positive impact ("handprint") for customers through better energy performance and building sustainability, offering a distinctive proposition in the fast-evolving market for insulation solutions.

As Sales Director of ROCKWOOL Benelux, you play a key role in further developing our market position in insulation products for the construction and roofing segment. You lead a commercial team that responds to this market dynamics, ensuring a future-proof sales strategy where customer focus, innovation, and collaboration are central. You are instrumental in the transition to sustainable and value-driven sales models. You work closely with our customers such as contractors and dealers.

You report to the Managing Director of ROCKWOOL Benelux and are a member of the Management Team of RW-BNL, which includes Operations, Marketing, HR, and Finance. You directly manage a team of 6 managers and indirectly manage 45 colleagues.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing a strategic sales vision that aligns with a rapidly changing market
  • Responsibility for revenue growth, margin, and commercial KPIs
  • Building strong relationships with key accounts in the construction sector
  • Leading and coaching the commercial team
  • Stimulating the team's ability to change (new propositions, new customer segments)
  • Working closely with the marketing department on campaigns, lead generation, product development, market positioning, and propositions
  • Monitoring market developments (sustainability, regulations, energy transition) and translating them into commercial opportunities

What you bring to the table:

  • Higher education/university degree in a commercial, technical, or business direction
  • Minimum 10 years of commercial experience in an international organization
  • Several years of experience in a leadership role and proven ability to lead the sales team through changes
  • Experience in building materials, insulation, or a related sector is a plus
  • Proven experience with change management in sales organizations
  • Strong in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
  • Analytical, strategic, results-driven, and data-oriented
  • Inspiring leadership and the ability to develop teams
