Account Manager DACH

What Will You Do?

As an Account Manager DACH, you will be fully responsible for the sales, service, and support activities in the field of greenhouse vegetables in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. You will develop and implement the regional sales strategy, manage the budget, and continuously optimize the commercial organization within the horticulture sector.

You will build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, direct customers, and key stakeholders within the entire chain. You will work largely from home and on-site at customers, supported by regular (virtual and physical) meetings with your Grodan colleagues. In addition, you will contribute to innovative projects that push the boundaries of sustainable cultivation systems.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Signaling and exploiting commercial opportunities and building and maintaining long-term partnerships within the DACH countries;
  • Maintaining strong (network) relationships with internal and external stakeholders, such as grower groups, advisors, and chain partners;
  • Representing Grodan as the face and point of contact for all parties in the greenhouse horticulture chain within the region;
  • Participating in fairs, seminars, conferences, and open days to promote Grodan’s solutions;
  • Drafting and implementing sales plans and budgets aimed at improving sales performance and market position;
  • Reporting internally on commercial activities, market trends, competition, and product developments;
  • Supporting and promoting local recycling initiatives in line with Grodan’s sustainability goals.

What Do We Ask?

  • A completed higher professional education or vocational education and at least 3–5 years of demonstrable experience in account management; experience in greenhouse horticulture is a strong plus;
  • Excellent skills in relationship management with distributors, customers, and other stakeholders;
  • A driven, analytical, and results-oriented attitude, with a proactive and independent working style;
  • A natural connector who creates value for both customers and Grodan;
  • Excellent communicative skills in German and English (spoken and written); proficiency in Dutch is a plus;
  • Willingness to travel regularly and an appreciation for cultural differences.
