As an Associate Engineer, Remote Support (Weekend Support), you will provide technical support to customers worldwide, troubleshooting hardware and software issues in Industrial Automation environments by phone and live chat. You will be part of the Weekend Support Team providing coverage during weekends and holidays across three shifts. You will report to the Team Leader, Remote Support and have a hybrid schedule working in Katowice, Poland.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide phone and live chat technical support to customers troubleshooting issues related to Rockwell Automation hardware, software, and solution-based products.
  • Help with troubleshooting hardware and software issues including PLCs, VFDs, Motion systems, Sensors, HMIs, SCADA systems, Industrial Networks, Network and Security Switches, and programming software.
  • Follow documented troubleshooting procedures, technical guides, and defined escalation paths to ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Escalate complex, unclear, or high-impact issues to senior engineers or specialist teams when required.
  • Perform guided simulations, basic analysis, lab testing, and solution verification of customer-reported issues using available tools and resources.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of technical documentation and knowledge articles.
  • Work together with other technical teams, Customer Care, and Product Management to ensure high-quality customer support.
  • Continuously develop technical knowledge and skills in Industrial Automation technologies.

The Essentials – You Will Have:

  • Degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Very good command of English, both spoken and written.
  • Proven knowledge of electricity fundamentals and the ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams.
  • Good working knowledge of the Windows operating system.
  • Willingness to work Monday–Sunday, including weekends and holidays, in a rotating shift schedule (8:00–16:00, 9:00–17:00, 17:00–01:00), with two days off during the working week.

The Preferred – You Might Also Have:

  • Basic hands-on knowledge of industrial automation products such as PLCs, VFDs, Motion systems, Sensors, or HMIs.
  • Basic understanding of SCADA systems and industrial communication networks.
  • Initial experience in a technical customer support or service-oriented role.
  • Knowledge of additional languages, including Polish or another language.
  • Demonstrated independent interest in technology and industrial automation.
  • Strong motivation to develop as a technical specialist in areas such as PLC, SCADA, HMI, Drives, Motion, or Industrial Networks.
