The Position

The new Customer Area Near Patient Care within our Business Area Roche Diagnostics Solutions combines our expertise around the Point-of-Care and Diabetes Care Portfolio. Our goal in Near Patient Care is to enable precise diagnoses in all areas of the healthcare system – from home, to the pharmacy, to the doctor’s office, to the emergency room and hospital – to support a sustainable healthcare system.

What You Can Expect:

In your role as Project Support Engineer, you have the following responsibilities and tasks:

  • You have the leading role in processing and developing operational topics (focus areas: process technology, automation, process management, process plant design, technology standards, digitalization) and provide active and independent support to other functions in Technical Excellence (operations engineers; digital key positions) to drive technical and strategic topics.
  • You have the sub-project responsibility or sub-project leadership for projects at DC Operations Mannheim regarding optimizations, (new plant) procurements, digitalization of processes (maintenance management; digital factory), sustainability issues, and acute problem-solving topics including planning, control, and monitoring of project activities.
  • You are responsible for tracking and ensuring the achievement of project goals (including budget compliance), reporting on project metrics, and actively managing project activities. You also participate in the creation of user requirements and support the development of commissioning and qualification concepts – elaboration and tracking of schedules and timelines.
  • You ensure a profitable collaboration with ELCQ (Engineering & Life Cycle Quality) and other partners (e.g. from the value streams) for the implementation of overarching projects.
  • You support the "Team Leader Technical Support" in creating KPIs and status reports for management.

Who You Are:

  • You can present a completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with professional experience or a completed technical vocational training with additional qualification through further education to become a technician or engineer, or comparable with several years of professional experience.
  • Additionally, you bring several years of professional experience, preferably in the field of development and/or production.
  • You have very good knowledge in the use of IT systems.
  • You have very good knowledge in automation, robotics, and systems engineering as well as in general electrical engineering and information technology.
  • You possess very good project management skills.
  • You have a strategic mindset, as well as a structured approach.
  • You have a high level of social competence and motivational ability.
  • You have an excellent process understanding and support thinking.
  • You have a secure handling of Google Tools.
  • German and English language skills in speech and writing complete your profile.
