The Position

We are looking for talented post-graduates with a strong interest in Operations for our rotational development program within Pharma Technical Operations (PT) at Roche in Basel and Kaiseraugst, Switzerland. Over the course of 24 months, you will work in a cross-functional setup, and you will have the opportunity to contribute to different key PT projects at Roche. The development rotations are designed to provide challenging and meaningful business-related assignments, training in technical and leadership skills, and coaching under business managers and mentors. You will gain on-the-job experience and a broad perspective on the core PT functions that are critical to the manufacturing of Roche/Genentech products. ORDP offers you the opportunity to rotate in any of the functional business areas of PT including: Internal Manufacturing Network, Quality and Compliance, Cell & Gene Therapy, Technical Development, Operational Excellence & Digital, Technical Regulatory, Product and Supply Chain Management, MSAT & Engineering, Strategy, as well as functions supporting PT, e.g. Global Pharma Procurement.

The Opportunity

Four six-month rotations within Pharma Technical Operations

The program starts on 1st September 2026

Formal targeted internal and external trainings, meetings, and offsite events

Presentation opportunities and exposure, conference visits and participation, mentoring program, and reverse mentoring to the Pharma Technical Leadership Team

Who You Are

You're someone who wants to influence your own development. You are someone who likes to move around in a network and provide it with new impulses. Furthermore, you're looking for a company where you have the opportunity to pursue your interests across functions and geographies. Where a job title is not considered the final definition of who you are, but the starting point.

You are a student or recently graduated (less than two years ago) from a Master's program in one of the following disciplines: Biochemical, Biomedical, Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Operations, or related disciplines.

You bring Operations-related internships or maximum 2 years of work experience.

In addition, you bring the following skills and competencies:

  • You are a strong team player with a solid understanding of the importance of delivery
  • You are task-oriented and you bring first project experience
  • You have excellent communication skills with a multicultural mindset
  • You have strong technical, quantitative, and analytical skills
  • You are a quick learner and passionate about continually adapting your skills and knowledge
  • You have a strong passion and motivation to contribute to Roche's Operations organization
  • You are fluent in English and you speak German at least on a B1 level
