The Position

The Security Department is responsible for the physical security of the Rotkreuz site, implements the global Roche security claim, and operates an alarm center, receptions, hospitality service, and the access point.

The Opportunity

You are a member of the Security Team within the Safety, Security, Health & Environment (SHE) department, working in a highly motivated, self-driven team with security experts and reporting to the head of the Security Department.

Together with your colleagues, you implement the security claim of the site and have interfaces with our 4,200 site users. You work in a team of designated experts; your direct peers are the head of the access point, head of the alarm center and receptions, and the specialist responsible for projects.

As an expert in Security Operations, you are responsible for the following topics:

• As the central contact person, you coordinate strategic and operational topics and ensure a smooth security operation with our facility protection provider.
• You actively shape your area of responsibility, identify fields of action, and develop strategies.
• You actively seek out exchanges with business partners, understand their needs, and at the same time convincingly represent your own solutions and recommendations.
• You are comfortable in areas such as risk management, event security. Topics like emergency management or technical security systems are well-known to you.
• You develop security strategies that cover the security needs of the site while ensuring an outstanding customer experience. You take into account current trends, risks, and future developments to proactively design solutions.
• You are able to efficiently manage complex security processes and ensure that the daily operational requirements are met smoothly. You make informed decisions in implementation and monitor the operational execution to ensure the highest security standards.

Who You Are

• You have at least 5 years of experience in a comparable position in the security sector, ideally in a large company or in an international environment.
• You have solid leadership experience and have already successfully led teams. Your ability to motivate people and lead through change processes distinguishes you.
• You are an experienced security manager and bring broad experience in the above-mentioned areas.
• You act independently in a self-organized team and take responsibility for your area of responsibility and are a doer. With a high degree of initiative, you act solution-oriented and skillfully weigh risks and operational requirements. You use your diplomatic skills to manage the tension between security requirements and the needs of our stakeholders.
• With your excellent diplomatic skills, you can communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, obtain their needs, bring your own concerns, and win them over with your persuasiveness for your ideas.
• You think strategically and economically, act proactively, drive topics forward independently, and always make decisions with a view to the overall success of the company.
• You feel comfortable in a dynamic, varied, and lively work environment and remain focused even under high demands. If there is a lot going on, you perform at your best and keep an overview.
• You are a team player who relies on the strength of the collective and is open to different perspectives. You bring a high level of self-reflection and are committed to continuous development.
• German as a native language and very good oral and written English skills (at least level B2).
