The Clinical Operations Analytics & Portfolio Optimization Intern plays a pivotal role in supporting clinical trial teams by maximizing expertise in data analytics, patient and investigator insights, and business intelligence. The position involves a variety of responsibilities sought at optimizing trial delivery and providing strategic operational insights.
The role involves supporting the optimization of country strategies and forecasting trial timelines across the Roche portfolio, ensuring efficient trial delivery through the development of strategic insights and recommendations. Collaboration with teams is crucial to develop tools and recommendations for reporting strategies, automate data processing, and deliver analyses and business solutions to the clinical operations organization. This includes the integration of in-depth patient insights, such as knowledge of epidemiology, disease progression, patient journeys, existing treatments, and standard care practices.
Additionally, the position requires a detailed understanding of the investigator landscape, including local geographic needs, previous engagements with Roche, adherence to Good Clinical Practices (GCPs), and overall quality and compliance. The role also involves supervising and tracking the competitive landscape, conducting primary research, and assessing risk levels to determine their implications for trial execution. This comprehensive approach ensures that the team can make well-informed decisions and optimize clinical trial outcomes optimally.
