The Position
The Chief of Staff (CoS) supports the Head of PT and the PT Leadership Team (PTLT). This pivotal role is designed to align the organization behind our "2030 North Star": deliver 20 transformative medicines addressing diseases with the highest societal burden through fast, efficient, and robust processes. As a key member of the PT Strategy Leadership Team, you will translate high-level strategy into action, enabling effective decision-making and execution across the network.
The Opportunity
Define and maintain the cadence of the strategic agenda, acting as the primary orchestrator for the leadership team.
Sequence, prepare, and facilitate critical reviews on topics such as the North Star ambition, Large Change Programs, and Financial reviews (ex Quarterly Business Reviews).
Act as an objective confidant to the Head of PT, preparing data, presentations, and briefings for high-stakes engagements like the Board of Directors and CEC.
Serve as the final owner of critical governance documents and ensure the leadership team is well-prepared for global meetings.
Analyze existing workflows to implement improvements and oversee key cross-functional projects.
Ruthlessly delegate across the network to balance delivery with strategic progression.
Act as the bridge between the PTLT and the broader organization by curating and communicating key leadership decisions every 6 weeks.
Support the Head of PT and PTY in Pharma/Group level engagements, ensuring alignment with the broader Pharma organization.
Directly manage two global project managers and serve as a Matrix Leader to the Community of PT Chief of Staffs.
Who You Are
You are a highly structured and analytical professional with the ability to facilitate senior leader discussions and synthesize complex information into crisp, understandable outcomes. You possess the executive presence to act as a confidant to senior leadership and the emotional intelligence to work cross-functionally across organizational boundaries, all while maintaining a strong focus on strategic execution and operational efficiency. With your exceptional verbal and written communication skills you have the ability to translate strategy into action.
Further, you possess the following qualifications and experience:
10 years or more of experience in Pharma with a solid understanding of TechOps and manufacturing processes.
Proven track record of effectively partnering with and influencing Senior Leaders.
Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and manage diverse stakeholders in a global environment.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills combined with excellent team facilitation capabilities.
Ideally a deep understanding of the Roche/Genentech culture and organizational landscape.
Availability to global travels of 25%
