Facilities Engineer I
Maintains building/facilities by making basic repairs and performing basic preventative maintenance tasks throughout the casino. Assists upper-level personnel in a variety of trade disciplines including but not be limited to landscaping, carpentry, painting, electrical, HVAC, plumbing and mechanical.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain landscaped areas in a well-groomed manner.
- Perform preventative maintenance to equipment on a scheduled basis.
- Assist Engineer II, III & IV as needed.
- Handle routine calls, prioritized by guest service needs.
- All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- 6 months in maintenance or equivalent
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Certifications, Licenses, and/or Registrations:
- Gaming license/registration as required by jurisdiction(s).
- Must have a valid driver's license.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of general maintenance procedures, and various hand tools.
- Driving record must meet driver eligibility requirements of Casino's insurance policy.
- Ability to share or divide attention among several ongoing activities, projects or assignments.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to follow all policies and procedures including but not limited to attendance, appearance, safety, and security policies.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to see, talk, and hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms; stand and walk.
- Must be able to utilize ladders of various heights.
- Must occasionally lift up to 35 pounds.
- Frequently required to stoop, crouch, or kneel.
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work in an environment with moderate to loud noise, bright lights, smoke, and dust.
