We're looking for an experienced IT Systems Administrator to be the primary on-site IT support for our San Ramon office. You'll work across Tier 1 and Tier 2 support levels, own automation projects, and collaborate with the Security team to improve IT infrastructure and security posture. As the face of IT support for San Ramon, you'll ensure a seamless tech experience for our local and remote employees—minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity. This is a hands-on, high-impact role that also offers the opportunity to implement AI-powered tooling to improve IT efficiency and responsiveness.

What will you do?

• Tier 1 and 2 support when needed on-site
• Implement and manage automation via tools like Okta Workflows and Jira Automation
• Help maintain internal tools and scripts to streamline onboarding, provisioning, and support
• Manage infrastructure and user account lifecycle for platforms like Okta, Jamf, GSuite, and Atlassian
• Deploy and manage corporate Mac laptops and systems
• Support IT infrastructure in San Ramon (networking, Zoom rooms, inventory)
• Participate in evaluating and implementing emerging technologies, including AI tooling like ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot
• Contribute to a collaborative environment deeply rooted in learning, teaching, and transparency
• Think creatively, own problems, seek solutions and communicate clearly along the way

Desired Skills and Experience

• 3-5 years of technical experience working in system administration or IT operations
• Familiarity working with Apple products (Apple TVs, Macs, iPads)
• Experience with Okta (user/app provisioning, security policies)
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or Bash
• Strong interest in troubleshooting IT infrastructure and applications
• Understanding of secure API usage and integration fundamentals
• Passion for automation
• Ability to work independently, adapt quickly, and manage your time effectively in a startup environment
• An aptitude for problem-solving and a growth mindset
• Ability to communicate effectively cross-functionally and liaise with all departments
• A security-conscious and customer-focused mindset
• Serious interest in having fun at work

Bonus:

• Certifications in Okta, Jamf-200, or Microsoft Office/Azure
• Exposure to AI-assisted tooling (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT) in IT workflows

Compensation and Benefits

The cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $105,000 - $125,000. Final compensation amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amount listed above.
