Under limited supervision, the Plan Reviewer will be responsible for digitally reviewing major and minor subdivision plans and/or commercial site plans to ensure compliance with all applicable Richland County regulations and ordinances. The ideal candidate should feel comfortable working in a fast-paced environment balancing multiple priorities to meet internal and external deadlines, have basic knowledge of development processes and terminology, and demonstrate the ability to work both independently and within an interdisciplinary team. The Plan Reviewer will report to the General Manager of the New Development-Engineering Division at Richland County Public Works.

Associate degree in engineering, surveying and mapping, landscape architecture, environmental science, or related field and/or one to two years of experience in plan review or a related area. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Experience in the administration of land development regulations codes and in the general process associated with land development is preferred. Additional experience can include: construction project review, surveying, or civil design, etc. Experience with Adobe is strongly desired, and experience working with ArcGIS and/or AutoCAD is beneficial.
Pay is negotiable based on experience. Compensation Range: $51,426.53 - $82,213.03
