Are you a motivated and enthusiastic engineering student looking for hands-on experience in the exciting field of physical security? Do you have a passion for developing innovative solutions to real-world security challenges? If so, we invite you to join our team as a Summer Engineering Intern at Rhombus.

Interns will have the opportunity to learn from experienced engineers, where you'll assist in software development tasks, coding, and software testing related to Rhombus applications. The ideal candidate will bring fresh ideas and solutions to the table, seizing the opportunity to learn and grow while contributing to the company's goal of redefining physical security.

What You'll Do

• Gain hands-on experience with security software/hardware components, learning how they integrate into the Rhombus ecosystem
• Analyze data from security systems and sensors to identify patterns, anomalies, or potential security vulnerabilities
• Effectively communicate project progress, challenges, and findings with your mentor and engineering team
• Help ensure the quality and reliability of our products through testing and quality assurance processes
• Maintain organized records of engineering activities, project milestones, and design specifications
• Develop client level software applications using the Rhombus API

What We're Looking For

• 3rd Year/Juniors currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• A strong grasp of engineering terms, concepts, and applications through relevant coursework or projects (i.e., Python, Java, C, JavaScript, React, CodeGen, Swagger, GitHub)
• A strong understanding of computer algorithms, encompassing a wide range of problem-solving techniques
• A basic familiarity of machine learning concepts and core principles
• Excellent communication, organization, and office software skills including email, Slack, spreadsheets, presentation software, etc.

This is a full-time (40 hours/week), summer internship based at our headquarters in Sacramento, CA. $25 per/hour
