The Senior MRO Value Engineer – Welding will report to the MRO Value Engineering Leader in the MRO Technology & Cost group of the Assembly, Test, Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (ATMRO) organization. This is an exciting opportunity that is scoped with a combination of quality engineering and manufacturing engineering to support the component repair business in MRO develop new capabilities to drive SQDC. You will be responsible for driving improvements in component repair by partnering with cross functional teams from local manufacturing engineers, product lines, repair and design engineering, and special process experts. The goal of the value engineering team is to improve broader MRO business targets on delivery timelines, cost, and productivity to support our customers. The role will have a major impact on the Commercial Engine Services (CES) business's goal to reduce TAT and improve margins. This role will also participate in special process auditing of the GE MRO network per specification 259.08 to ensure compliance with GE and industry specifications in our facilities. The preferred location is at the GE Aerospace STAC in Springdale, OH USA, but candidates located at other GE Aerospace MRO facilities will also be considered. Strong candidates can be considered for remote opportunities, but travel expectations will be higher.

+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, or at least 4 years of experience in an MRO manufacturing environment. + At least 3 years of experience in welding or welding engineering for aerospace hardware, preferably aircraft engine hardware. + Knowledge of overhaul and component repair processes. + Fluent in English, written and verbal. + Ability to travel 50% to international destinations.

Full-time position with 40 scheduled weekly hours. Work shift: 1st Shift (United States of America). Travel requirements: 50% international travel. Background and drug screening required. Work authorization and citizenship requirements may apply. The base pay range for this position is $111,700.00 - 148,800.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/commission based on the plan.
