Raytheon's Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Surface Radars & Sensors Center is seeking a TSCE System Lead Engineer. You will apply your experience, technical expertise, and leadership skills to the planning, integration, test, and activation of Total Ship Computing Environment (TSCE) systems on board a Zumwalt DDG 1000 Class platform. You will direct the TSCE mission area team to perform Testing for all Raytheon and non-Raytheon equipment associated with TSCE. You will be responsible for coordinating activities with government and contract personnel. Shipboard testing will be conducted on-site at appropriate locations, during ship systems activation, test, and trial periods. The TSCE Lead will function as a technical member of the Shipboard Test Team staff interacting with a variety of stakeholders including System Integration and System Test Management, Navy Agencies, Navy Labs, Zumwalt Prime Contractors and selected major vendors.

What You Will Do

  • Lead a small team of engineers to perform equipment installation and checkout as well as hardware and firmware upgrades; report results and maintain records as required.
  • Plan, coordinate, execute, and report status of integration and stage test events.
  • Brief internal program leadership and coordinate with customer program office, platform leadership, and Navy technical offices (ISEA/TWH).
  • Drive solutions to multiple simultaneous technical issues with various priority levels.
  • Physical requirements of this position will include: the ability to work in confined spaces, climb stairs, lift and carry 35 lbs., work in an industrial environment, and live/work for short periods at sea onboard a US Navy vessel.
  • Travel is expected, about 40 - 50% domestically.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with LINUX.
  • Experience with test execution onboard US Naval vessels.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • AGILE/Scrum experience.
  • Experience with the Zumwalt platform and Total Ship Computing Environment.
  • Experience in engineering or military leadership role.
  • Experience working directly with a military customer/end user.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
