The Director of Environmental Services manages and directs the work of the Environmental Services Department of CharterCARE Health Partners to ensure that all housekeeping and infection control standards are met. Establishing standards for delivery of services, scope and evaluation of standards in compliance with all regulatory and licensing requirements. Implementation of an integrated waste management program including infectious and biohazardous waste disposal, recycling and waste prevention programs, linen distribution and collection. Performing related duties as required ensuring aseptic/sanitary conditions. Recommends purchase of capital and operating equipment. Inspects/tours all facility areas under where staff performs functions for continuing adherence to established requirements. The Director of Environment Services develops, implements and evaluates a management plan which ensures the delivery of high quality, cost effective services. Education: Bachelor Degree, Masters in management or related field preferred. Experience: Expert level experience 10 plus years in the direction and management of facility Housekeeping/Environmental Services operations and expert level knowledge of relevant rules, regulations, codes and process for hospital/healthcare facilities.
