Design Manager - Full Service

Reporting to the Sr Director, AD&C Full Service, you will be the recognized authority in the area of interior design and contact for select Franchisees and portfolios within the Full Service Brand category of Hilton.

Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.

What your day-to-day will be like:

  • Review and provide timely, digital comments on New Build, Conversion, Adaptive Re-Use, and/or Renovation Interior Design Submittals to ensure agreement on published Standards and Brand's design strategy while upholding the brand's integrity.
  • Assist in technical design services, including review of detailed design drawing sets, specifications, finishes, and shop drawings for adherence to brand standards.
  • Proficiently lead the workflow of projects, ensuring that you deal with all challenges satisfactorily, and provide training to internal and external partners to ensure that they understand each brand's design.

How you will collaborate with others:

  • Partner with AD&C Project Management Team Member(s) to study design opportunities for conversion and PIP projects.
  • Negotiate with Franchisees, and their Interior Designers, to achieve mutually agreeable solutions while maintaining Brand intent and communicating conclusions for full agreement and support.
  • Conduct virtual pre-design, ID kick-off meetings and design milestone reviews following the design review/acceptance process, with the franchisee's team.
  • Schedule and participate in vendor, supplier, and manufacturer presentations to support maintaining and building industry relationships. Maintain current understanding of relevant products, design techniques, and production methods.
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of current Brand Standards and design narratives/schemes across the full service brands; and help provide feedback of Standards and design tools to continually refine and improve products.

What you will take ownership of:

  • Full Service Branded Properties, ensuring agreement to brand pillars, market requirements, brand standards, along with strategic corporate initiatives and objectives, offering specific value-additive solutions.

You have these minimum qualifications:

  • Five (5) years of design experience as a project designer or design manager for a hotel operator, ownership group, or an Interior Design firm specializing in hospitality
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and/or Bluebeam
  • Travel domestically up to 20%

It would be useful if you have:

  • NCIDQ Certified
  • Bachelor's Degree (BS) in Interior Design
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement, project management, and design products and finishes.

The annual salary range for this role is $75,000 - $100,000 and is determined based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
