Responsibilities

You are on a journey to join an exciting company and be part of our success story. Here we will equip you with the know-how and experience that will define your growth. In this role that you are about to embark on, you are required to carry out the following responsibilities:

Paralegal Admin Support – Provide paralegal support to the Legal Department including:

  • Timely preparation of first drafts of standard contracts based on internal templates to input data provided by internal stakeholders prior to review by legal counsel in corporate legal;
  • Raise internal approval workflows and collate all internal approvals required prior to contract signing;
  • Facilitate wet ink signature collection including for corporate and banking transactions;
  • File hard copies of the Legal Department's contracts and record them in the Legal Department's document inventory;
  • Manage complete record of executed contracts;
  • Verify and process for payment invoices issued by external service providers; - Track and maintain the Legal Department's expenses; and
  • Perform related administrative functions.

Intellectual Property ("IP") – work with panel law firms engaged by RGE and internal stakeholders in relation to:

  • Filing of new applications for trademark and patent registrations including resolving any questions raised by relevant IP regulators;
  • Filing of renewals for existing trademarks held by group companies;
  • Assisting with information required by law firms in relation to any IP related disputes;
  • Review Trademark Watch to highlight competing marks in the process of registration and work with internal stakeholders to raise objections, if any; and
  • Verify and process for payment invoices issued by external service providers.

Other ad hoc tasks and projects assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

Diploma in Legal studies/Paralegal studies or relevant paralegal certification from institutions approved by The Law Society of Singapore. Those who do not hold the relevant qualifications, but who have the relevant working experience are welcome to apply too.

Skills

Must be highly proficient in MS Office applications. Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail. Good communication skills, both written and spoken English, to liaise, develop and maintain close working relationships with internal stakeholders (including those in overseas offices).

Personal Characteristics

Must be resilient and self-motivated with strong inter-personal skills. Must have integrity and must be able to maintain the highest standards of confidentiality.
