Manager Biospecimen Operations

Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers. The company's R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding Revolutionaries in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.

Playing a critical role as a Manager Biospecimen Operations within Translational Medicine function, the position will be providing biomarker operational expertise in, developing scope of work, and maintaining effective working relationships with cross-functional teams for phase three clinical trials.

  1. Operationalize the Program strategies to support early and late-stage development of portfolio assets.
  2. Guide Biospecimen Operations Lead on effectively managing early and late-stage clinical trials.
  3. Train Biospecimen Operations Lead on Informed Consent Form development for all aspect of biospecimen collection.
  4. Effectively collaborate with biomarker scientists and clinical operations to ensure successful collection and CDx testing of clinical trial samples.
  5. Collaborate with diagnostic partners and internal cross-functional team members to ensure successful management of CDx samples.
  6. Work closely with Clinical operations group to meet clinical milestones.
  7. Work closely with biomarker scientist to oversee development of the scope of work, budgets, and timelines by CROs across all active studies.
  8. Mentor Biospecimen Operations Lead to perform day-to-day operational management of CROs to ensure timely delivery with high standard of quality.
  9. Provide program level updates on major biospecimen management and testing updates to Translational Medicine team.

Required Skills, Experience and Education:

  • Life sciences degree (MS or PhD) in scientific, medical, healthcare, or related discipline.
  • 7+ years related professional experience in a clinical research setting, clinical/diagnostic laboratory.
  • Should have experience of managing/mentoring team members.
  • Prior experience in clinical biomarker operation and/or sample management in phase three clinical trials is highly desirable.
  • Excellent scientific and business communication skills, strong interpersonal/collaboration skills, and planning skills.
  • Should be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint applications.
  • Experience in using Project Management tools is highly desired.
  • Ability to think critically and creatively and be able to work independently to determine appropriate resources for resolution of problems.
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced innovative environment.
