Job Title
This role requires hands-on experience listing a SaaS product in third-party app marketplaces - Salesforce AppExchange, HubSpot Marketplace, Zoho Marketplace, Google Workspace Marketplace, Slack App Directory, Zapier, Make, N8N, or similar.
In your application, tell us: What integrations or marketplace listings have you personally built and shipped? Name the platforms, the product, and what happened after launch. If you haven't done this before, this isn't the right role.
Retell is the voice AI platform for production phone agents. Enterprise call centers use us to deploy AI agents that handle real calls, inbound and outbound, at scale. 50M+ conversations/month. YC-backed. ~20 people.
You're the person who makes Retell show up everywhere developers and ops teams already work.
Today, someone building a voice AI agent has to come find us. Your job is to flip that - make Retell appear inside the tools they're already using. ChatGPT, N8N, Zapier, Make, LangChain, CrewAI, Google Sheets, HubSpot, Salesforce. When someone drags a node, browses a template, or searches an app directory, Retell is there.
This is not a maintenance role. You're building the connectors, integrations, and developer experiences that become Retell's primary self-serve distribution channel. Every integration you ship is a new acquisition surface.
What you'll actually do
- Build and ship MCP server integrations that put Retell inside AI-native workflows (ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, etc.)
- Build and maintain connectors on N8N, Zapier, Make - own the full lifecycle from submission to listing optimization
- Create plug-and-play starter workflows that lower time-to-first-call for new signups
- Instrument the self-serve funnel: track which integrations drive signups, activation, and conversion
- Work with our PLG PMM to prioritize which integrations to build next based on user demand and distribution potential
- Own the developer onboarding experience for integration users - docs, quickstarts, error handling, sample repos
- Maintain and improve our public API surface as the primary consumer of it
What makes someone great at this
- You've shipped production integrations on at least one major platform (Zapier, N8N, Slack App Directory, Salesforce AppExchange, etc.)
- You're a strong generalist engineer - comfortable across Node/Python, REST APIs, OAuth, webhooks, and whatever random auth scheme the next platform uses
- You think about integrations as distribution, not just technical plumbing. You care whether the listing converts, not just whether the connector works
- You move fast and ship without waiting for permission. At a 20-person company, this role has no spec to follow - you decide what to build
- Bonus: you've worked with voice/telephony APIs (Twilio, Vonage, Telnyx) or real-time media
What this is not
- This is not a backend infrastructure role. You won't be building Retell's core platform.
- This is not DevRel. You won't be on stage or writing blog posts (though you might write docs).
- This is not a "build it and hand it off" role. You own your integrations end-to-end, including whether they actually drive signups.
