Global Hr Generalist
We are looking for a professional, motivated and dynamic experienced HR Generalist who will be responsible for supporting our Victorian and Tasmanian Branches.
You will report to the HR Manager for this region, and you will have the support of our larger HR team based across AUS, NZ and Fiji, all of which have a wealth of knowledge that they are happy to share if needed.
This role is based in our Port Melbourne office with travel required to our Geelong, Campbellfield and Hallam branches depending on business needs.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of providing accurate advice by supporting and assisting Managers with all their HR Generalist queries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide coaching and advice to people and people leaders with any ER concerns, performance management or enquiries they may have
- Managing and maintain employee data in our HRIS system (Workday) and providing reports for branches as required
- Assist managers with interpreting their industrial instruments (i.e. awards) in Pest - Pest Award, Hygiene - Waste Management Award, Clerks Private Award and Miscellaneous Awards
- Change Management support, Induction Support & Employee Exits interviews
- Recruitment support when required
- Contribute to the development and success of key people initiatives (reward & recognition, wellbeing & induction programs)
- Providing support to the HRM with any HR initiatives or Mergers and Acquisitions when required
To be successful in the role you will have:
- Minimum of 2-3 years extensive HR Generalist experience in a HR Coordinator and/or HR Advisory role
- Sound communication and relationship management skills
- Be Solutions focused to create positive outcomes for the business and its people.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, under pressure and within tight deadlines from time to time.
- Experience in Talent acquisition, PDs, contract generation and managing FTEs.
- Demonstrated moderate ER knowledge, skills and experience
- Understanding of the NES, Interpreting Awards and Australian HR legislation requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in HR or related discipline would be advantageous but not essential.
- The ability to coach, influence and enable leaders to help them make sound HR decisions this is a key requirement within this role
