Job Description

Reporting to the Assistant Manager – Proportional, the Operations Assistant – will be support multiple teams and be responsible for all aspects triaging and processing related to reinsurance transactions in our risk and accounting systems and will support the workflow of the cash and proportional teams. The role will pivot across teams based on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the Underwriting and Finance as part of the Operations team:
  • Analyze and process of all bordereau cases for proportional team
  • Working with proportional team/nonproportional team/claims/cash teams to resolve issues related to triaging, proportional accounts, and cash
  • Provide regular updates to team and managers
  • Assist in creating efficiencies and value creation (review existing processing and propose updates/changes as appropriate)
  • Participate in any special projects or ad hoc tasks that may be required by either Internal or external parties.
  • Ensure all functions are carried out with a high degree of quality, in a timely manner
  • Special Projects and as assigned

Qualifications, Skills, & Experience

• High School diploma required; University degree preferred • 5+ years of related experience • Strong computer skills (Excel, Word) • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle a variety of duties in a timely and accurate manner • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze and process complex accounts and transactions • Strong communication skills. • Insurance experience preferred • Team player and ability to work across multiple teams
