People Operations Specialist

As a People Operations Specialist at Platform.sh, you are the first point of contact for our global team, playing a vital role in delivering a consistent, employee-centric experience across the entire employee lifecycle. From onboarding to benefits and compliance, you ensure that every touchpoint reflects our values and supports our people. You're deeply organized, proactive, and collaborative—someone who thrives on improving processes and helping people. You partner closely with our internal teams and external vendors to deliver a reliable, compliant, and inclusive people experience, while helping oversee the day-to-day operations of our Paris office.

Beyond daily operations, you contribute to the long-term evolution of People initiatives—wellness, learning, development, DEI, and more. Your attention to detail, cross-functional mindset, and care for others ensure that our team feels supported and empowered to do their best work.

What to expect

  • Employee Lifecycle Support: Provide thoughtful, people-first support across all phases of the employee journey—onboarding, engagement, documentation, offboarding, and everything in between.
  • Office Operations: Oversee daily operations of our Paris office, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming workplace. Coordinate with vendors and manage supplies, repairs, and in-office activities.
  • Benefits & Payroll Administration: Administer employee benefits in France, the UK, Germany, and Spain. Partner with internal teams and local providers to ensure accurate payroll and compliance with local labor laws.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, contracts, and amendments. Ensure documentation meets local legislative requirements and promotes transparency and trust.
  • People Programs: Support and coordinate programs that enhance employee growth and well-being, including onboarding, buddy, mentorship, wellness, and learning initiatives.
  • HR Reporting & Systems: Ensure accuracy in HR data systems and compile reports to support compliance and operational insights.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with People, Payroll, Legal, and Operations teams to deliver seamless support across geographies and functions.

What you bring

  • People Operations Experience: 1–2 years of hands-on experience in HR or People Operations, preferably in an international and fast-growing environment.
  • Detail-Oriented & Organized: Exceptional attention to detail, with strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Employee-Centric Mindset: A genuine passion for supporting people, with the ability to balance empathy, compliance, and business needs.
  • Problem Solving & Planning: Critical thinking skills and a proactive mindset—you identify issues, suggest improvements, and execute solutions.
  • French Employment Knowledge: Understanding of French labor law and compliance practices. Experience working with internal/external legal and payroll partners.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication abilities in both English and French (written and spoken). Able to work across cultures and time zones.
  • Systems & Tools Fluency: Experience with HRIS systems and payroll platforms. Comfortable navigating digital tools in a distributed organization.

Bonus points for

  • Experience supporting UK and German employment compliance
  • Familiarity with ComitĂ© Social Économique (CSE) processes
  • Project management skills
  • Experience in fast-paced, high-growth organizations
