Software Development & Support (Digital)
Provide advanced technical leadership for system engineering activities supporting Department of Defense and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) infrastructure. Apply comprehensive expertise to design, implement, configure, and optimize physical and virtual systems that enable mission-critical operations. Serve as a technical authority across multiple system assignments, supporting integration efforts and ensuring compliance with DoD cybersecurity and governance standards. May supervise engineering teams to deliver secure and resilient solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead system architecture activities, including design, implementation, and optimization of physical and virtual environments.
- Evaluate system performance and recommend major changes to improve reliability, scalability, and mission readiness.
- Support system integration activities, ensuring interoperability with DoD-approved platforms and compliance with security requirements.
- Function as a technical expert in system engineering methodologies, guiding teams in best practices for configuration and performance tuning.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and senior leadership to align system solutions with DoD and USACE mission objectives.
- Ensure adherence to DoD cybersecurity frameworks, NIST standards, and RMF compliance throughout all system operations.
- Supervise system engineering teams and manage resource allocation for complex infrastructure projects.
What You Will Need:
- U.S. citizenship.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD "Secret" security clearance; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of clearance prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.
- Must have at least 9 years of relevant experience.
- Extensive experience in system engineering and infrastructure management within DoD, federal or similar environments.
- Strong knowledge of physical and virtual systems (VMware, Hyper-V), enterprise architecture, and integration strategies.
- Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity, RMF processes, and governance policies.
- Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage large-scale system implementations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
What Would Be Nice To Have:
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or Solutions Architect Associate.
- Azure Fundamentals or Solutions Architect Expert.
- Active "SECRET" or higher-level clearance preferred.
- Familiarity with AI/MLops.
- Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited institution.
The annual salary range for this position is $113,000.00-$188,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
