Mortgage Underwriter Opportunity

Are you an experienced mortgage underwriter looking for flexibility and growth? We're hiring skilled professionals to join a dynamic team focused on delivering accurate, compliant underwriting decisions. This is a remote opportunity with competitive pay and long-term potential.

What You'll Do:

• Underwrite FHA, VA, and conventional loans with precision and speed.
• Review credit, income, assets, and full documentation for accuracy.
• Collaborate with internal teams to finalize approvals and resolve conditions.
• Manage volume efficiently: 2–3 initial files and 6–8 final approvals daily.
• Ensure compliance with investor and agency standards (FHA, HUD, VA, IRRRL, SAR, TrumsID).

What You Bring:

• Experience: 3+ years of mortgage underwriting (FHA preferred).
• Certifications: DE or SAR required.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with automated underwriting systems; Encompass and Excel preferred.
• Knowledge: FHA, VA, and conventional guidelines; CHUMS, LAPP, SAR designations a plus.
• Detail-Oriented: Strong communication and documentation review skills.

Pay & Schedule:

Pay: $31.25/hour (Contract-to-Hire)

Schedule: Flexible shifts (8 AM–5 PM or 9 AM–6 PM); training shift 11 AM–6 PM EST.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $31.25/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
