The Principal Consultant, Advisory Services provides executive leadership in broadcast media control operations and distribution services, providing strategic advisory, technical leadership, and client-facing consulting expertise. This individual bridges deep domain knowledge of broadcast workflows with modern IP- and cloud-based distribution models, guiding clients through digital transformation, operational excellence, and technology modernization. As a trusted advisor, the Principal Consultant defines strategy, shapes solutions, and ensures delivery alignment across complex consulting and integration engagements. As Principal Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of media distribution for leading global broadcasters and media companies. By combining technical mastery with strategic vision, you will help clients modernize their operations, optimize cost structures, and accelerate delivery across emerging platforms, ensuring their ability to thrive in a rapidly evolving content landscape.
Bachelor's degree in communications, Design, Engineering or equivalent experience. A master's degree would be a plus. 12+ years of progressive experience in playout automation, traffic systems, signal routing, quality control and monitoring, compliance logging, disaster recovery, and multi-platform content distribution. Deep experience in IP- and cloud-based broadcast technologies, including SMPTE ST 2110 architectures, SRT, RIST, AWS/GCP/Azure media services, and other relevant vendor technologies. Experience with large-scale broadcast media production projects across sports, news, entertainment, or enterprise media networks. Demonstrated success advising executive stakeholders and leading enterprise-scale digital signage programs. Proven experience leading cross-functional creative projects in a client-facing authoritative role. Experience leading programs from concept to completion, running multiple content management projects, workflows, and budget under tight deadlines. Advanced and sophisticated written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with and establish trust towards C-level executives, end users, customers, vendors, and manufacturers in 1:1 and group settings. Strong financial acumen with a proven ability to draft scopes of work, develop accurate labor estimates, and drive profitability through disciplined scoping, resource planning, and budget management. Ability to listen, understand and convey highly complex information, and present in-depth technical solutions. Experience managing remote teams or contractors. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Proficiency in business analytics tools (CRM, ERP, Atlassian Suite, Data Visualization Tools).
