Aveva Pi Engineer
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Excellent knowledge of SCADA, PLC, OPC, MES systems and DCS Based control systems, including network topology concepts.
- Expert understanding of PI Architecture.
- 12-24 months supporting PI Projects and Systems.
- Highly competent in implementing, configuring and troubleshooting of AVEVA PI Interfaces.
- Advanced understanding of how SQL Databases are setup & administered with respect to PI systems.
- Ability to write instructions for installation, configuration and troubleshooting of interfaces.
- Can develop and design PI Systems and nonGxP/GxP Documentation without supervision.
- Drafts Validation document lifecycle, including installation/operational qualification and design specification creation and execution.
- Provides resourcing estimates and technical configurations, of client quotations.
- Mentors, trains and supports System Analysts and Software Consultants.
- Coordinates work with vendors and contractors during project conception and implementation stages.
- Carries out all the functions of System Analysts and Software Consultants.
- Works with clients to understand, agree and implement technical requirements.
- Provides client operational support to the SLA Team.
- Can manage smaller projects or a Project team from conception to completion.
- Provides feedback on System Analysts and Software Consultants for performance evaluations.
- Manages Project timelines in conjunction with the PM.
- Anticipates issues involving quality and timeliness of project deliverables.
- Makes decisions regarding implementation, configuration and installation of PI systems.
- Can perform all the work of a System Analyst and Software Consultant.
- May receive tasks, duties, technical guidance or learning objectives from the Regional Manager.
- May be assigned work by the Project Manager.
- May be tasked with providing input for quotations or proposals.
- Provides day-to-day supervision and support to the System Analysts and Software Consultants.
- May evaluate and review the System Analysts and Software Consultants' work.
- In the absence of the Regional Manager, has the ability to assume the management of System Analysts and Software Consultants.
- Comply with Cognizant ISO 27001 Information Security Management System requirements.
- Comply with Cognizant's ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements.
- Understand and apply our quality policy statement in all aspects of your work.
- Contribute towards achieving Cognizant's company objectives.
- Ensure that the needs and requirements of Cognizant's internal staff and customers are understood and delivered.
- Help develop and improve Cognizant's internal processes and management system.
- Other Ad Hoc duties as they arise.
Key Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in IT, Automation, Science or Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum of 36 months of experience in programming and GxP environment.
- 12 months of experience in supervising staff preferably.
- Level 100 & 200 AVEVA PI Accredited preferably.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $66,896- $153,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
