As an Application Services Modernization Advisory Director, you will work closely with client stakeholders to deeply understand their unique business drivers, challenges, and strategic goals to shape and deliver innovative solutions for clients seeking to modernize legacy systems, migrate to cloud-native platforms, and transform their application portfolios. By aligning our modernization strategies with the core business needs of our clients, you will ensure that our solutions not only address technical requirements but also deliver measurable business value, support organizational transformation, and fulfill their modernization objectives. Your business acumen and ability to connect technology initiatives to business outcomes will be critical to helping clients realize the full potential of their modernization investments and help differentiate NTT DATA in the market.

  • Bridge the gap between technology architecture and business strategy, ensuring client investments deliver value.
  • Enable clients to reduce technical debt, increase agility, and accelerate their modernization journeys.
  • Influence major deals from advisory through solution design and implementation.
  • Drive our growth by architecting solutions that set us apart and strengthen long-term client partnerships.

Once you are here, you will support:

  • GTM Strategy & Enablement
  • Client Advisory & Pre-sales Engagement
  • Architecture & Delivery Support

Required qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 10+ years of IT experience, including at least 5 years in enterprise architecture and application modernization
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in custom application development, application architecture, cloud migration, and legacy modernization
  • Experience with presales, RFP responses, and working alongside sales or go-to-market teams in consulting or SI environments
  • Past experience negotiating, shaping, and closing large professional services deals
  • Past experience with application rationalization, cloud-native design, and legacy transformation strategies
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% across North America

Preferred skills include:

  • Proven success leading large, complex, strategic sales opportunities and client engagements
  • Experience engaging and building relationships with senior leadership at Fortune 500 organizations
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, etc.)
  • Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Business case modeling (TCO, ROI), strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with Agile & DevOps methodologies
  • Certifications: TOGAF, AWS/Azure Architect, ITIL, SAFe/Agile Coach, or relevant cloud certifications

Location: Remote (Continental U.S., near a major airport, preferred time zones Central and Eastern); travel up to 50% across North America. Preferred locations: Dallas, Austin, New York, Boston, Chicago, Atlanta. Travel up to 50%.

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $135,000-$275,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance. This position is eligible for company benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance with an employer contribution, flexible spending or health savings account, life and AD&D insurance, short and long term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program with company match, and additional voluntary or legally-required benefits.
