✨ About The Role
- Lead the development of aftertreatment subsystems for Remora's device to reduce emissions from semi-trucks
- Generate requirements based on regulations and standards, and work closely with subject matter experts and suppliers
- Design vehicle systems for manufacturability and maintainability, while optimizing subsystems for efficiency
- Conduct design reviews, testing, and validation to ensure the subsystems meet requirements on an aggressive timeline
- Research and implement new technologies for reducing emissions such as NOx, SOx, HC, CO, and PM
⚡ Requirements
- Experienced mechanical engineer with a background in aftertreatment systems for diesel vehicles, ideally heavy-duty vehicles and diesel engines
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive teams to meet aggressive timelines and goals
- Comfortable working with suppliers to optimize subsystems and minimize power draw, weight, and volume
- Ability to develop analytical and computational models for feasibility studies and system troubleshooting
- Committed to reducing emissions and addressing climate change, with a focus on racial justice and diversity in the workplace
