✨ About The Role
- Responsible for guiding the design of Terran R mechanisms such as stage separation, payload deployment, aero control features, and landing gear
- Collaborate with partner groups such as structures, avionics, and fluids to leverage additive processes and design freedom
- Conduct a full design cycle including conceptualization, trade studies, design, analysis, manufacturing, and testing of components
- Work closely with vehicle design, test, loads teams, additive, and manufacturing teams to integrate subsystems within printed primary structures
- Deliver projects on time and budget, supporting the development of additive processes to enhance vehicle design and manufacturing
⚡ Requirements
- Experienced engineer with 8+ years in a full cycle design engineering role, including CAD, analysis, build, and test
- Proficient in kinematic synthesis, pneumatic/hydraulic actuation, mechatronics, and instrumentation
- Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of technical solutions and hands-on hardware build experience
- Effective communicator able to lead discussions on complex technical topics and collaborate with key groups
- Ideally has experience in aerospace, launch vehicle mechanisms, multi-body dynamics analysis, and a fast-paced development environment
