- The role involves driving engine system trades, managing engine interfaces, negotiating requirements, and supporting engine system development
- Responsibilities include system-level coordination, facilitation among technical teams, and bringing deep technical acumen to solve complex problems
- The position offers the opportunity to have a significant impact on the development trajectory of the current engine and future iterations
- The role requires an average of 15% travel to test & launch sites and may occasionally require shifted schedules or weekend work for critical milestones
- The successful candidate will work on a novel engine, Aeon R, and collaborate with a team to solve new mysteries and challenges from engine tests
⚡ Requirements
- Experienced professional with 11+ years in a complex engineering system development and/or test environment
- Strong background in fluid mechanics & thermodynamics with a bachelor’s degree in a science, engineering, technology, or mathematics field
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, effective team collaboration, and ownership from previous work experiences
- Ability to lead collaborative projects with minimal oversight and deliver on ambitious schedules
- Self-starter who is always looking for ways to improve and learn more about systems
