- The role involves owning a major integrated assembly and its child subassemblies from design release through integration to shipment.
- The candidate will drive the assembly’s first integration effort, including design integration and assembly sequencing.
- Establishing the assembly’s station within the inaugural work cell will require consideration of assembly operations and tooling requirements.
- The job includes managing the assembly build, integration, and non-reactive testing of the world's first 3D printed rocket.
- The successful candidate will author test procedures and act as a test conductor to verify hardware health and build integrity.
- There is an opportunity to assist in developing business tools and processes for manufacturing the first launch vehicle.
⚡ Requirements
- A Bachelor of Science degree in aerospace, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering is required for this role.
- The ideal candidate will have over 4 years of experience building and testing hardware in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience interfacing with design engineering, manufacturing, and production personnel is essential to ensure high-quality output.
- The candidate should possess a working knowledge of subsystems including structures, high pressure gas systems, and avionics.
- A self-starter attitude is crucial, with the ability to define and own a process from scratch and communicate effectively with a diverse team.
- Expertise in at least two specific areas such as trim and drill operations, LOX cleanliness, or integrated testing is preferred.
