✨ About The Role
- Develop assemblies for the fuel and oxidizer turbopumps of the Aeon-R and Aeon-R Vac engines
- Collaborate closely with propulsion development and manufacturing teams to incorporate improvements into future designs
- Thrive in ambiguity and drive projects to completion, working through challenging issues unique to rocket turbopumps
- Work at the interfaces of design, development, and analysis of turbomachinery
- Provide design feedback that improves product manufacturability and work on large-scale additive manufacturing projects
⚡ Requirements
- Experienced engineer with a degree in engineering or related technical field and at least 3 years of relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of GD&T and project management skills including leadership, scheduling, organization, risk management, and communication
- Ability to investigate and resolve hardware non-conformances and drive implementation of corrective actions
- Skilled in providing design feedback to improve product manufacturability and working with technicians in a hands-on hardware environment
- Proficient in turbopump assembly procedures, including rotor balancing, interference fits, clearance checks, structural proofing, and leak checks
