Institutional Services Area Manager
At Regions, the Institutional Services Area Manager directs and leads a group of Trust Officers and other team members who are responsible for setting up and administering trust accounts, retaining client relationships, and developing these relationships to their fullest potential by cross-selling financial services. This role is focused on revenue growth, business model execution, sales performance, sound risk practices, and client experience.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manages assigned local Trust office(s) and the performance of the associated Trust business
- Oversees new business development and retention of existing client relationships, maintaining a strong focus on prudent revenue growth
- Develops and coaches team members in all relationship development and client experience efforts
- Serves as the IS subject matter expert, leading the relationship development efforts for accounts that include: Retirement Plan, Investment Management Agency, Endowments/Foundations, Custody or Corporate Trust
- Assigns accounts and ensures relationships are managed according to policies and procedures so satisfactory audits and service standards are met
- Acts as a resource to answer questions, review documents, and negotiate fees
- Maintains and strengthens internal and external relationships with existing and new centers of influence (COIs)
- Manage account relationships if necessary
- Ensures prudent risk management strategies are in place, and business practices comply with internal and external policies, guidelines, and regulations
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Ten (10) years of Trust experience

- Proven and effective sales techniques
- Skilled in applicable computer software, e.g., Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, etc. and Corporate Trust related systems

- Strong work ethic and self-motivation
- Subject matter expert in trust principles and capital markets securities matters relating to the administration of bond issues, escrows, and custody accounts

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location, and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
Job Range Target:
Minimum: $153,840.23 USD
Median: $207,186.00 USD
Incentive Pay Plans:
This role is eligible to participate in a formulaic incentive plan. Employees have the potential to earn incentives based on performance against defined metrics and goals. Opportunity to participate in the Long Term Incentive Plan.
