✨ About The Role
- Develop and implement control law algorithms for REGENT's seagliders, focusing on multiple operational modes: hull-borne, hydrofoil-borne, and wing-born
- Utilize high-fidelity simulations and live-flight testing to validate and verify control systems
- Work on the transition from subscale to full-scale prototype development, testing, and certification
- Collaborate with various engineering disciplines to design control surfaces, develop requirements, and conduct verification and validation procedures
- Contribute to the development of safety-critical components under aerospace vehicle design processes
âš¡ Requirements
- Experienced control systems engineer with a background in aviation industry and a focus on developing control systems for non-linear dynamic systems
- Proficient in C/C++ embedded software development and simulation environment development
- Strong leadership skills with a passion for aviation and aerospace
- Familiarity with safety-critical components and processes such as RTCA DO-178C and SAE ARP4754A
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including aero, hydro, and mechanical engineers
