✨ About The Role

- The Hardware Integration Engineer at REGENT will be responsible for integrating, testing, and maintaining the embedded systems that control the seagliders - The role involves developing software and hardware to support a range of embedded system tools and infrastructure - Responsibilities include working on the development of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) system, Sensor subsystem Testbeds, and Tools for Sensor and Actuator Maintenance - The position requires a strong background in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, along with 2+ years of relevant experience - The Hardware Integration Engineer will play a crucial role in getting the first-generation seaglider in the air, working with a variety of hardware, communication protocols, and programming languages

- Bachelor’s degree or greater in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar - 2+ years of relevant experience integrating and testing complex systems involving both hardware and software - Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, MATLAB, or Bash - Experience with programming in C/C++ for embedded targets - Familiarity with Wire Harness Design and Fabrication - Comfortable reading electrical schematics and working with common electrical lab equipment - Knowledge of embedded communication protocols like I2C, SPI, RS422/485, CAN Bus - Experience with safety-critical software in aerospace, medical, automotive, or similar applications is a plus - Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment on cutting-edge technology projects
