Field Service & Repair Engineer / Assembler
The Field Service & Repair Engineer / Assembler will be responsible for managing the customer repairs process as well as providing on-site service work at customer sites on Regal Rexnord supplied brakes, clutches and couplings. This includes diagnosing faults, performing scheduled maintenance, and ensuring optimal performance of Regal Rexnord products. They will also carry out assembly work when there is no field service and repair work.
Service & Repair
- Manage customer returns process to achieve annual repairs sales target and on time delivery in line with customer expectations
- Strip and survey returned items and produce detailed report on parts and labour required with costings to repair the units if viable
- Rebuild customer returns to "as new" standard to allocated delivery date as required.
- Carry out service work on Regal Rexnord supplied Brakes, Clutches and Couplings at Bedford plant and remotely at customer site.
- Support Sales and Engineering with service, commissioning and sales support work on all Regal Rexnord products sold via Bedford plant.
- Support Quality and inspection to maintain ISO9001 quality management system and achieve on time delivery of processes.
Assembly
- View priority build board and select kit of parts for next assembly.
- Establish assembly operations from parts list, working instructions and drawings.
- Check kit for correct parts and refer to stores or supervision over any discrepancies.
- Operate overhead travelling gantry crane and provide correct slinging procedure to load and transport large items.
- Assemble and test products to specification, referring to working instructions and drawings, using air gun and spanners, paying particular attention to cleanliness of parts.
- Report to supervision any error found in component parts and problems leading to difficulty in assembly. Also report any deficiency in tool or measuring equipment.
- Ensure required standards of safety are adhered to and good housekeeping is maintained in the work areas. Use the PPE provided at all times. Report any health and safety concerns to supervision or the health and safety representative.
- Provide support for requirements of ISO 9001.
- To support the implementation of ABS, the continuous improvement process.
