Work Schedule: This position operates within Redwood's Service Center coverage model supporting North American logistics operations. Typical schedule is Monday to Friday, from 7:00 to 16:00 or from 8:00 to 17:00 depending on the time change.

Purpose Of Your Work

As an Inbound Carrier Sales And Operations Representative within Redwood Multimodal (our freight brokerage), you will be responsible for managing inbound carrier capacity opportunities and supporting the execution of freight across Redwood's transportation network. Operating within Redwood's Service Center model, this role focuses on converting inbound carrier inquiries into booked freight, validating capacity sourced through Redwood's digital carrier platforms, and managing shipments post-booking to ensure successful execution. You will work closely with Redwood's brokerage teams and carrier partners to ensure freight is covered efficiently, carrier relationships are supported, and operational service levels are maintained throughout the shipment lifecycle.

How You Make A Difference Everyday

  • Respond to inbound carrier inquiries generated through phone calls, email, load boards, carrier portals, and digital capacity tools
  • Evaluate inbound capacity opportunities and match available carrier equipment with active freight requirements
  • Convert inbound opportunities into confirmed load bookings through effective negotiation and communication
  • Negotiate freight rates with motor carriers to secure competitive capacity while supporting profitability targets
  • Validate carrier compliance, equipment availability, and operational readiness prior to booking loads
  • Process load tenders and booking confirmations through Redwood's transportation systems
  • Monitor inbound opportunities from carrier portals and digital freight platforms
  • Validate and confirm carrier-submitted bookings through Redwood's digital capacity tools
  • Support automation workflows by reviewing and managing exceptions within the booking process
  • Track and monitor shipments to ensure on-time pickup and delivery performance
  • Communicate proactively with carriers regarding transit updates, delays, or operational challenges
  • Maintain rapid response times to inbound inquiries and load opportunities
  • Support service center productivity goals including booking conversion rates, response time SLAs, and shipment coverage metrics
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts that increase automation, efficiency, and service quality within the service center environment

  • 1-2 years of business experience in a bi-lingual environment
