You'll manage and continuously refine the team backlog, balancing long-term strategic direction with immediate delivery needs. This is a unique opportunity to help guide open source AI innovation from community collaboration through downstream enterprise delivery.
You'll play a central role in aligning upstream PyTorch developments with Red Hat's platform roadmap, while driving clarity, prioritization, and execution for the engineering team.
Own and prioritize the team backlog to support both upstream engagement and downstream product goals.
Serve as the primary liaison between Engineering, Product Management, Support, and community contributors.
Participate in upstream PyTorch community discussions and represent team priorities and feedback.
Identify and communicate gaps between upstream developments and downstream platform requirements.
Break down features and epics into actionable user stories with clearly defined acceptance criteria.
Ensure the engineering team is aligned, unblocked, and empowered to work autonomously.
Maintain and communicate delivery plans and release status to internal and external stakeholders.
Monitor community and product communication channels, acting as an advocate for the team and an amplifier for customer and community input.
Drive alignment, clarity, and continuous feedback loops between the engineering team, stakeholders, and user-facing teams.
Proven ability to prioritize engineering work while balancing inputs from product, community, and customer-facing teams.
Experience translating complex requirements into clear, actionable tasks and acceptance criteria.
3+ years of experience in a product ownership or software development role, ideally in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
Proactive mindset with a passion for enabling teams and removing ambiguity.
Familiarity with open source development practices and globally distributed collaboration.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Experience with tools such as Jira, GitHub, Bugzilla, or GitLab.
Prior experience engaging with upstream communities, especially PyTorch or similar AI/ML ecosystems.
