Flight Operations Compliance Specialist

Position: Flight Operations Compliance Specialist

Reports to: Executive Director of Aviation Services

TransMedics Group, Inc. (TMDX) is a commercial-stage medical technology company transforming organ transplant therapy for end-stage organ failure patients across multiple disease states.

Essential functions include but are not limited to:

  • Maintains flight crew training and currency records
  • Maintains compliance with the FAA Pilots Records Database
  • Reports weekly status of crew currency and training items
  • Conducts periodic audits of training records, crew duty logs and weight & balance submissions
  • Conducts aviation pre-employment phone screenings as assigned by the Chief Pilot
  • Assists with the processing of PRIA records and other background checks for both prospective and existing employees
  • Assists with the flight department FAA Drug & Alcohol Abatement Program, as assigned
  • Responsible for preparing agendas and composing/maintaining minutes during flight operations meetings (safety, ASAP ERC, pilot meetings)
  • Maintains flight operations account enrollments for pilots (ForeFlight, APG, Baldwin SMS, etc)
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all cases involving client aircraft operations and when dealing with sensitive or security issues
  • Provides administrative support to senior leaders to include email correspondence and generation/distribution of memos, letters, spreadsheets, and forms
  • Assists with the testing and implementation of new technology and processes
  • Ensures that deadlines are met and adapts to changing priorities
  • Performs other TransMedics tasks and duties as necessary

Background and qualifications:

  • Basic computer proficiency – Microsoft Office, iOS, and other internet-based programs
  • Knowledgeable of 14 CFR Part 135
  • Piloting background
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Certifications, licenses, and other special requirements:

  • Must pass a background check
  • Subject to pre-employment and random drug screening
  • Have completed a 14 CFR Part 135 aircraft training course
