- The Staff Engineer will play a critical role in making Reddit's experimentation platform world-class by building new features, architecting backend infrastructure, and directing the adoption of best practices and standards
- Responsibilities include architecting, implementing, and maintaining a state-of-the-art experimentation platform, building new data products related to experimentation, and collaborating cross-functionally to find technical solutions for complex design challenges
- The role involves developing and operating high-scale data products with a focus on live site reliability, trustworthiness of analyzed data, and developer efficiency through automation and system optimization
- The successful candidate will work on the full development cycle, from design to deployment, and will be instrumental in accelerating innovation and growth at Reddit through actionable, opinionated, and trustworthy A/B testing
- Reddit offers a flexible workforce with the option to work remotely from anywhere in the United States, or in physical office locations if preferred

- Experienced software engineer with at least 7 years of professional software development experience, focusing on full stack engineering for at least 4 years
- Proficient in front-end technologies like TypeScript/JavaScript and back-end technologies like Python and SQL
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively in a fully-remote environment and negotiate requirements with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Technical leadership experience with data analysis platforms and a solid understanding of A/B testing, experimentation, and feature rollout
