- The role involves working on mission-critical, highly performant, and scalable systems that manage user identity, authentication, and authorization for millions of daily users and backend services - Responsibilities include building systems around authentication, authorization, and identity to meet the needs of Reddit's engineering organization and users - Collaborating with product management, security, client engineering, and backend teams to define and implement Reddit’s IAM vision and roadmap - Leading and mentoring technical contributors, ensuring high uptime and strong performance of IAM systems - Evaluating new technologies, participating in strategic and technical architecture efforts, and directly impacting hundreds of millions of users around the world

- Experienced in designing and developing large-scale distributed backend systems with over 10 years of relevant experience - Deep understanding of cloud IAM technologies, concepts, and standards - Proficient in application security, information security, authentication & authorization protocols - Skilled in identifying and driving high-impact projects that align with the company's strategy - Excellent communication skills and high empathy to collaborate effectively across the organization
