✨ About The Role

- Develop and execute a long-term vision and strategy for Consumer Safety, working with cross-functional partners from product, design, data science, and other engineering managers - Lead a full stack product team of backend, frontend, and mobile engineers, supporting them through the entire development cycle from design to launch - Modernize and scale existing safety and reporting tools to serve all Reddit users globally - Empower users with their own safety tools and content controls on Reddit, such as blocking, reporting, and muting features - Establish a culture of metrics-led execution, efficient processes, and transparency within the team, setting goals and targets to focus on impact

⚡ Requirements

- Experienced software engineering manager with a track record of managing high-performing teams and developing large-scale distributed software applications - Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively to keep projects on schedule - Results-oriented individual with a focus on customer and business impact, able to communicate complex topics to technical and non-technical audiences - Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias toward action in fast-paced environments, able to innovate and drive initiatives forward - High empathy, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative approach to working across different teams within the engineering organization
