• Salaried: $30-35 per hour.
• Incorporated Business Rate: $35-40 per hour.
• 18-month contract with the potential for permanent employment.
• Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.
• Weekday schedule from 9 am to 5 pm.

Responsibilities:
What you will need to succeed:
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Professional designation in audit or accounting preferred, such as CPA, CIA, CAMS, or similar certifications.
• 5 years of compliance or audit experience in banking or financial services.
• Experience in banking compliance and regulatory compliance testing.
• Strong knowledge of banking regulations and legislation, including the Bank Act, PCMLTFA, and PIPEDA.
• Experience with monitoring and testing programs, including design, execution, and reporting.
• Ability to review, interpret, and document legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements into clear and actionable documentation.
• Specialized compliance expertise and/or legal experience considered an asset.
• Experience with compliance systems and tools such as Archer considered an asset.
• Subject matter expertise in banking legislation, products, and operational procedures considered an asset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information.
• Strong stakeholder communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to identify compliance risks, assess impacts, and provide practical recommendations.
• Ability to analyze complex situations and exercise sound judgment when escalating issues.
• Ability to work with changing priorities, multiple objectives, and complex issues.
• Ability to influence stakeholders on compliance issue resolution without direct authority.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to develop and deliver training on compliance issues and requirements.
• Highly organized, efficient, and detail oriented.
• Professional attitude and adherence to high ethical standards.
• Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office, Excel, AWD, and Archer.
• Bilingual in English and French would be considered an asset to support communication with stakeholders and business partners in both languages.
