Bilingual Senior Investment Operations Analyst (Mutual Funds/Back Office)

The Senior Analyst will provide expertise and operational support to ensure successful implementation of the firm's various initiatives. This entails gathering, analyzing, and interpreting a variety of data. The day-to-day will involve interacting with various business areas to understand the risk, financial and accounting impacts of business processes to best support our stakeholders. What is in it for you:

• Salaried: $45-50 per hour.
• Incorporated Business Rate: $55-60 per hour.
• 12-month contract.
• Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.
• Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm or 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
• Hybrid role: 3 days in the office (Toronto or Montreal).

Responsibilities:

• Provide support to managers with impact analysis and implementation phase of assigned projects.
• Identify operational or other business risks associated with initiative implementation and communicate them to leadership.
• Act as main resource in analyzing and responding to inquiries.
• Coordinate project related tasks and activities with internal and external teams.
• Interact with stakeholders to understand scope, requirement, and impact of requests.
• Liaise and communicate project requirements to custodian and valuation agent.
• Complete and compile key monthly metrics, provide internal partners, leaders and team members with required reporting.
• Participate in process improvement type projects by providing information useful for decision-making and by formulating recommendations.
• Understand the risk, financial and accounting impacts of business processes.
• Monitor activities and ensure compliance with established policies, standards and procedures.

What you will need to succeed:

• University degree, preferably in accounting or finance.
• Certifications: Canadian institute courses would be asset.
• 3+ years in the financial industry in investment operations, experience in mutual funds a great asset.
• Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
• Bilingualism, both spoken and written (English and French).
• Responsible, reliable, and self-directed.
• Able to lead and execute tasks independently and also able to support and work with managers on the team.
• Brings practical experience and a solution-oriented mindset.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to high-quality outcomes.
• Experience in mutual funds a great asset.
• Knowledge in fund accounting.
